About the Host
For more than 50 years, Dean Miller has been exploring one question: How do we help people perform, recover, and live better?
A globally recognized healthcare and human performance expert, Dean has spent his career at the intersection of medicine, sports science, technology, and innovation. During his 16 years at Rice University, he served as Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine, leading teams responsible for medical services, athletic training, sports science, mental health, performance, and competitive nutrition within one of the nation’s premier NASA-affiliated research environments.
Beyond academia, Dean founded Sports MedTech, where he worked with world-class athletes competing at the highest levels of motorsports, cycling, and endurance sports. His evidence-based Performance Pyramid methodology helped athletes capture 19 World Championships by combining cutting-edge technology with proven performance strategies.
Today, Dean brings that same passion for discovery to The Space Health Dimension, where he explores the future of health and wellness with scientists, physicians, engineers, entrepreneurs, and innovators from around the world.
His mission is simple: To introduce listeners to the people, technologies, and ideas redefining human performance—not only for living on Earth, but for living well in the universe.
