Jason Kramer is a distinguished figure in the music industry, bringing decades of experience as a DJ, music supervisor, producer, and educator. With a deep passion for music, innovation, and artist development, Jason has played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of emerging talents while contributing to major media and entertainment platforms.
Jason’s journey in radio began at KLOS, where he started answering phones before securing a role at KCRW, one of the most influential public radio stations in the country.
Over the past 27 years, he was an on-air DJ at KCRW, curating groundbreaking music and earning recognition as a tastemaker in various publications and books. His ability to discover and amplify new talent
has cemented his reputation as a key influencer in the industry.His show is well known for introducing some of the most popular artists to date including Billie Eilish, 1975, Florence and
the Machine, Ed Sheeran and many more.
He was an integral part of Soundbreak.com, the first internet radio station, and later spent two
years as a producer at Fox Sports Radio, overseeing three different shows. His diverse radio experience has allowed him to cultivate strong relationships with artists, labels, and publishers, making him one of the most connected figures in the field.
He has interviewed well known artists in live settings including, The Lumineers, The Drums, Clean Bandit, Jhené Aiko, No I.D., Tom Odell, Donovan, Ziggy Marley, X Ambassadors and more.
He originally started working with Skunk records and Sublime back in 1994 which made him decide to leave being a first responder and start a career in music.
